Message In A Bottle
All along the route I was able to place my family by saying 'My dad lives by the big blue whale in Catoosa'. The Bobs and Mildreds would nod knowingly and say, 'I think they're repainting that this summer...' Today we left a message, Jonah-like, in the belly of the whale. It was written on one of our cards attached to a Tower of London black felt raven finger puppet and it said: 'Dear Person, Legend has it that if ever the ravens should leave the Tower of London, the White Tower (and perhaps the whole nation) would fall. Thus ravens are always kept (wings clipped) at the Tower just in case. We hope this raven brings you luck. Best wishes, from Leslie & Helen.'
