4th May Message In A Bottle

We left an old map of Western Scotland with Jerry Hill. Scotland is a place he has visited and loves. I also had the chance to meet his mother, Dortha Lou, today. Because of these things I thought I would leave him this short story , "My Mother's family, the Mackay's, left Scotland for America when she was about eighteen years old. My Mother didn't go with them, but instead moved to London to train as a nurse, and then she met my Father... Anyway, both she and her family still feel great love for Scotland. She became quite renowned in Maidstone, Kent, where we lived, for her homemade Scottish shortbread, complete with the pattern of a thistle on the top.

When my sister and I were too young to have any say in the matter, my Mother would kit us all out, including herself, in homemade Mackay tartan kilts, complete with matching Mackay tartan capes and Mackay tartan scarves. We would sit in Church each Sunday in these designer outfits, a chequered haze of green and blue, sweating into the polo necks of our matching green jumpers.''

Now, where will I leave it....?
