16th April Message In A Bottle

In Sayer the Great Indian uprising of 1959 is said to of occured at the old Route 66 bridge. This seemed to us the ideal place to leave a message in the form of a garden. We had sought expert horticultural advice from Paul when we visited him in Belfast. He had recommended Poppies as a hardy flower to plant in foreign climes. We found the perfect spot at the Garden Place and Leslie planted the seeds in a little furrow along the fence, just off the Route 66 roadside. Then we posted the packet along with a polaroid of the novice gardeners and a note, into the mailbox at the garden center. I shall look forward to checking on the seeds on our return journey, and maybe meeting the owners.
